Senator Dennis Meadows has decided not to proceed with the resolution,notice of which was given in the Senate last Friday, which called on the Media Association ,MAJ to accept a more divisible and flexible use of Government time on radio and television.

Senator Meadows said he has decided not to proceed with the motion this coming Friday as he has now been fully briefed on the status of negotiations between the Government and the MAJ on the issue.

Some of the points that were in contention have now been agreed and the Senate resolution might not contribute to the progress of the discussions at this time.
